At the Think Business Banking Awards for 2013 held on 30th April 2013, Century was awarded the Special Award for Product Innovation for its Mazao Factor product.

This product seeks to address the perennial problem of farmers side-selling their produce to brokers at throw away prices to meet their immediate cash needs. It also empowers women the majority of whom provide the labour in the farm yet the land belongs to the men and when payments for produce are made, they are paid to the men.

The Mazao Factor facilitates the spot cash payment for confirmed deliveries made. This allows the farmers to invest in their next crop cycle, meet their needs and creates disposable cash which can be turned into savings to ensure income smoothing.

BONFAS ODHIAMBO ODONGO - Bungoma Branch

Bonfas hails from Rarieda sub-county, Siaya County in Nyanza region.

Boda boda business has been ranked as a fast growing business which has seen most youth opt to go for it rather than wait for white collar jobs which are hard to come by.
Bonfas is a young man who opted to venture into Boda boda business in order to fend for his young family. He used to save a small percentage of the commission he received on a daily basis after renting a motorbike from a friend. He paid him on a daily basis for 2 years.

He joined the bank in 2017 and managed to save for a while. He later applied for an asset finance loan from Century after which the bank bought him his first motorbike. Special credits to Bungoma branch for having identified him. The client who is currently championing the bank brand in his hometown and has since acted as an inspiration source to his fellow youths and boda boda riders to live their dreams.

MESHACK KIRAGU KARAGAU - Kagio Branch

Meshack is a small business trader who hails from Kagio town in Kirinyaga County. He joined the bank in 2014.
He was running a small Kiosk which could not yield so much. He saved for a while and applied for a working capital loan of Ksh.30,000 which he used to boost his business. He managed to service the loan and later graduated to Ksh.50,000 and Ksh.100,000 respectively.

Meshack is a living testimony that all dreams are valid. Century believed in him and held his hand throughout the business growth. The client has been able to diverse his income sources where he now supplies LPG gas within Kagio town and also operates a bodaboda.

GEORGE KURIA WAWERU - Gikomba Branch

This is George Kuria Waweru from Kikuyu town.

Taxi business is his main source of livelihood. He operates his business using and online taxi platform known as Uber.
George joined Century Bank in 2016. He was initially employed as taxi driver operating under online platform, Westlands being his major area of operation. Century Bank financed him the 2 Taxi cabs he currently owns. This has helped him boost his income sources through which his business has thrived.

EZEKIEL MUNGAI MBUGUA - Kitengela Branch

Ezekiel is a well-known businessman in Kitengela town who operates a food joint popularly known as PORK CITY.

He started the business in 2001 and has gradually grown his business to where it is now. The business started out mostly as a meat den where he only offered beef and pork products but later he diversified to include other meals. His major challenge was mainly how to cater for his staff salaries. He has employed more than 60 staffs.
With a wide range of financial services and products such as Overdrafts and salary processing, Ezekiel found century bank to be the most ideal financial partner to solve his needs. This has since boosted his cash flows and thus reduced his cost of operations. His staffs are a happy lot since they are paid on time and that he is able to access funds whenever in need.
